Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway opened in 2001 as a modern motorsports facility built by International Speedway Corporation in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The 1.5-mile tri-oval features progressive banking ranging from 17 to 20 degrees in the turns, with construction completed on over 1,200 acres in Wyandotte County. The track’s first race on June 2, 2001, was an ARCA event won by Jason Jarrett. In 2012, the speedway underwent major renovations including repaving and the addition of variable banking, while lights installed in 2011 allow for night racing.

Located at the intersection of Interstate 70 and Interstate 435 in Kansas City, Kansas, the speedway seats 72,000 fans and anchors the Village West entertainment district. The facility has hosted NASCAR’s top series since its opening and quickly became a major Midwest motorsports destination. Kansas has been a staple on the ARCA Menards Series schedule since 2001, serving as the championship finale from 2012 through 2021.

The ARCA Menards Series will return to Kansas Speedway twice in 2026—the only track to host two races on the schedule. The series visits in May and returns in September for the championship finale, marking the first time since 2021 that the season will conclude at Kansas.
